Imported from original starcheat repo, there are no native Linux/Mac distributions at this time.
Make sure you're using a supported Windows build before reporting any errors
Reset all settings
This will remove all locally stored data for starcheat and force a new setup dialog next run.
Windows
- Press the Windows key and R (Win+R) to bring up the Run... dialog.
- Type %APPDATA%\starcheat and press Enter.
- Delete assets.db and starcheat.ini from the folder that pops up.
Linux
In a terminal:
- $ rm ~/.starcheat/assets.db
- $ rm ~/.starcheat/starcheat.ini
Mac
In Finder: - Open the Go menu and click Go to Folder (or press Cmd+Shift+G).
- Type ~/Library/Application Support/starcheat and press Enter.
- Delete assets.db and starcheat.ini from the folder that pops up.
Getting log files
Always provide log files when you report an error. If you need a site to upload it, use pastebin or github's gist.
Windows - Press the Windows key and R (Win+R) to bring up the Run... dialog.
- Type \starcheat and press Enter.
Linux
$ cd ~/.starcheat
Mac
In Finder: - Open the Go menu and click Go to Folder (or press Cmd+Shift+G).
- Type ~/Library/Application Support/starcheat and press Enter.
Help! I lost my player file/it was corrupted!
Keep backups. This cannot be stated enough. You can also check if Starcheat itself has a backup for you (if using an updated 1.4 version) in %appdata%/starcheat/backups (WIN + R)
